Under Construction
  • Pegasus Prime 1.0's installer application has been known to automatically overwrite any installed version of QuickTime, even newer ones, with the old 1997 version (2.5). You may need to reinstall a newer version of QuickTime if you've used the aforementioned installer from the Pegasus Prime CD-ROM. Mac OS 9 users can just use the Software Update control panel to download the latest compatible version of QuickTime directly from Apple.

  • Users of Mac OS 8 or 9 do not require any special software updates to play. To avoid the QuickTime version problems mentioned above, please do not use the installer from the CD and instead download this Stuffit file (226KB) to play the game. Pegasus Prime will also run fine under Mac OS X's Classic environment (version 10.2 to 10.4.11 recommended).

  • Mac OS 7.5.x users experiencing problems with Pegasus Prime's automatic resolution switching can try downloading DrawSprocket version 1.1.2 and just replace the DrawSprocketLib in your system folder with the newer version (you don't even need to restart). Apple also offers DrawSprocket version 1.7.5 for users of Mac OS 8.1 to 9.2.2 (but it's only needed if your installed system does not already come with it).

  • You may experience delays or pauses during gameplay if the program is loading data from slower CD-ROM drives on computers below minimum requirements. It is highly recommended that you view the manual and README file for further information on optimizing system performance.

  • After successfully completing the retinal scan in NORAD, the cursor may still display a zoom icon. Clicking the zoom icon again (instead of walking forward) will repeat the retinal scan sequence, but otherwise does not affect gameplay.

  • The hand cursor may disappear after clicking on an active object, such as a selection on an in-game screen or device. By simply moving the mouse around, the cursor should reappear.

  • On USB-equipped systems with compact keyboards (such as PowerBooks) that are running Mac OS 8 or 9, the game may freeze when attempting to bring up the biochip or inventory tray. Plugging in a full-size keyboard or playing the game from within the Mac OS X Classic environment will avoid this problem.

  • There are two different ways to apprehend the final robots: In either a "violent" or "non-violent" manner. If you choose a violent means of apprehension, this can result in lost biochips that are needed later in the game.

  • If you are unable to complete a task due to load times, or missing inventory objects, you can set the game difficulty to "Walkthru", and use the AI biochip to solve the puzzle for you, if applicable. Note that using the "solve" option will only give you _ of the points possible for the puzzle.

  • If you come to an untimely demise, you will be presented with a menu of options, one of, which enables you to continue from your last safe spot in the game in order to achieve a different outcome. However, it is always recommended that you save your game frequently.

  • Remember that in most cases, once you obtain an object from a time zone, if you return to the time zone later on, the object will no longer be in its original location, since you will already have it in your inventory. This can be helpful when you need an object that was originally obtained by a series of actions.

  • You can use the Pegasus to recall you back to TSA at any time during a mission via the Pegasus biochip 'recall' button. Recalling in Pegasus brings your biosuit energy level back up to 100%.
